Dandong 3285 Movement! VS Factory GMT Pepsi Bezel – Craftsmanship Details Revealed

Hello everyone, in this episode we bring you a GMT-Master II “Pepsi” bezel model – the latest V3 version from VS Factory. When it comes to quality, this V3 version is built entirely from 904L stainless steel. In terms of both weight and dimensions, it is completely comparable to the genuine watch. The bezel rotation is very smooth and responsive, with crisp, well-defined clicks.

First, the bezel is true to the original at 40mm, and the thickness is around 12mm – perfect, very accurate. The functional operation is also correct. It is powered by a Dandong 3285 integrated movement, with a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. The winding is very smooth, and it features the correct instantaneous date jump – the seconds hand moves without any stuttering. When you pull the crown to the second position, the GMT hand adjusts in the reverse direction as it should, for normal time setting. All functions correspond exactly to the genuine watch. The stability and overall performance of this movement are well known to everyone, so I won’t go into excessive detail.

As for weight: it’s over 140 grams – very solid and authentic. Looking at the dial details: the hour markers have lume fill with no excess overflow or black spots. The transition between the red and blue on the bezel is very natural, with no bleeding or uneven gaps. The crown logo is three-dimensional and rounded, and the size of the crown’s teeth (grooves) is consistent throughout. It feels smooth to the touch with no sharp edges. The clasp’s crown logo is integrally formed, featuring a dragon and phoenix emblem, and the overall engraving is deep, crisp, and very authentic.

The “flat-top A” detail has been accurately replicated – currently, VS is the only factory that truly matches the genuine flat-top A. Under the olive-shaped coronet logo, the four dots are correctly positioned, and the code is A9A. VS remains as outstanding as ever, with meticulous control over the original quality standards.

Furthermore, under UV light, the entire bezel displays a uniform cherry‑red color. The overall tint and texture look very natural. On the wrist, it is stylish and versatile – truly a fashionable and everyday piece.
